What rocks your bliss?
Hikes in the mountains. Sunrises. Snuggling with my sweet little family. Live music and dancing. Sisterhood and the Soulful conversations that often accompany. A good sweat that results in the hard beat of the heart and the reminder that I am fully alive. Deep belly laughter around a dinner table full of loved ones. Spreading knowledge on women's health. Helping women tune in to their bodies and their hearts.
Describe your perfect day.
Waking up to the sun rising over the mountains. A luxurious yoga practice by the fireplace with our dog Mowgli stealing space on the mat. Butter coffee and a book. Brunch outside with my man. A long hike in the mountains with our little family. A grill night at home where we cook a feast and invite over all of our friends for a night full of laughter, random bursts of weight-lifting and yoga poses, and dancing in the kitchen.
When do you feel most creative and alive?
Early mornings or late at night when the world is quiet. That's when the words spill out onto paper, the yoga class is given life, and visions are born.
Share a huge goal you are rocking.
After years of dreaming of one day living my "perfect day", I'm finally putting action to words and making those perfect days happen more often than not. I've made it a point this year to truly live life checking in with my core values - in my career, my connections with others, my relationship with my Self. This work is so much harder than I thought it would be, but man, it is so nourishing to the Soul.
If you could get on a plane right now, where are you going?
First a quick detour to pick up my sisters and my parents then home to Switzerland to hang out with my Nonno, to soak in all the Family goodness, and to ground myself back in my roots.
How do you handle setbacks?
Probably cry a bit and soak up the family snuggles. Then take ten deep breaths. Ground myself in nature. And find the beauty in the setback. After a close friend almost passed away a few years ago, I learned the importance of finding the good in the bad. There is always good to be found in the bad. The good is what helps me find the next step to take.
How do you come home to yourself?
Checking in with my core values. Taking a yoga class. Walks in Nature. Letting thoughts spill out onto paper.
What are 3 ways you rock the self LOVE?
1. Waking up early to spend the first hour of my day doing whatever feels luxurious that morning.
2. Reading a good book before bed while snuggled up with my man and our dog.
3. Breaking a sweat every day - whether it's a trail run, rock climbing, yoga, or dancing to live music.
