What rocks your bliss?
Trusting that I’m exactly where I’m meant to be at this very moment.
Describe your perfect day.
My perfect day would start slowly. I’d read in bed for a bit, and then have a long, leisurely breakfast with a loved one. Eventually, we’d make our way to yoga. We’d flow and sweat to a killer playlist (I’ll take anything and everything from 90’s hip hop to classic rock!) and then head over to the Farmers Market. I’d get some sort of hummus + falafel sampler, and wash it all down with fresh watermelon juice. We’d go hiking in the late afternoon (as the sun is setting) and later, stop at a Mexican restaurant for margaritas and chips, guac, tacos – you name it. I’d end the night with a square of extra dark chocolate and mug of tea, in bed. I’d sleep like a baby. These mellow, low-key sort of days are just the dreamiest.
Share a huge goal you are rocking.
Last year, I made a deal with myself that I’d live somewhere outside of CA by the end of 2015. I’m moving to New York Labor Day Weekend (!!) – hugely proud of myself for making this commitment and seeing it through.
If you could get on a plane right now, where are you going?
Bali, without a doubt. I spent about ten days in Thailand earlier this spring, and cannot wait to get back to Asia to explore more of those gorgeous beaches and spend my days sun-kissed and totally relaxed. No technology, no worries.
How do you handle setbacks?
I remember that life is all about our reactions – I have the power to let something make, or break me. I’ll take a hot shower, check in with a close friend or family member, meditate – whatever it takes to get grounded, so that I can (calmly) focus on the bigger picture. Practicing gratitude always helps too.
3 ways you rock the self LOVE.
- I eat for energy. And enjoyment.
- I pencil in one-two “me nights” a week.
- I set daily intentions to instill confidence in my abilities, my truth and ultimately, myself.
