Bliss List: February

Welcome to the Bliss List. Every month we'll be putting together a Bliss List, a hodgepodge of what we're loving and what has inspired us over the past month.

This February we ventured to Ohio together for a few days of major blisscrafting. In collaboration with Groundswell, we led a retreat for over thirty amazing women (and one very wonderful man!) in tree houses and cabins in the winter wilderness of The Mohicans. We got to connect over Michael Jackson (obviously!), blissful yoga practices, S'mores and our unique values.

Jacki turned 33 on Galentine's Day and we celebrated together with two coffees each in Cleveland. With heart palpitations and bear hugs, we said goodbye knowing we'd be seeing one other the following month, a nod to the commitments we made to rock 2017.

Here's a few things we're crushing on this month:

Homemade marshmallows. Ginnie Coleman, who came on our Ojai retreat, sent us these delicious Rock Your Bliss marshmallows and ultra-decadent hot chocolate mix for our wintery Ohio adventure. Delicious.

Self Care Index. Katie Kurtzan Ohio-based life coach who came on BOTH our retreats in Ojai and Ohio, gifted us this Self Care Index by Free Period Press. We love the sweet self love reminders to acknowledge your feelings and breathe deeply while also offering ideas like building a blanket fort, googling Corgi butt (!!) and put on a record.

London Fog Lattes. MB's new favorite non-mushroom coffee drink is a London Fog latte. Pair Earl Grey tea with some steamed coconut milk and a bit of honey for the best cold weather indulgence.

'Radical Acceptance', by Tara Brach. Jacki finally picked up this highly recommended book for her book club (MB recommended it to her about 6 years ago!) and they are both reading it together. The words speak to acceptance in the now, how to access a scared pause and get present, and the sweet nature of embodiment. Read it with us!

The Mohicans. Close your eyes and envision a tree house tucked in the quiet woods. There are wooden stairs that lead to a suspended bridge to the entrance with outdoor showers, a porch for coffee and adventure everywhere in the trees. Hello Mohicans, a family run business in the heart of Ohio. We loved our time here exploring the quiet, tasting s'mores in the fire pit and yoga in the Grand Barn!

What is bringing you all the bliss this February?
