Stacey Irvine

Meet Stacey Irvine! Stacey is the founder of Mindful Health Collective, a wife, mama to three beautiful girls and is a major coffee enthusiast! She is a Registered Nurse, Yoga Instructor and Yoga Therapist.  She is passionate about consciously advocating for a more integrated health care system through the power of nursing, yoga, tribe and empowered health.

She teaches workshops fusing yoga, mindfulness and holistic health together while also bringing yoga into the hospital in effort to bridge the gap between western and holistic health care. She runs a busy yoga therapy practice out of her home and is committed to being a voice for women so they may be vulnerable, authentic and supported as they rise strongly. It is Stacey’s belief that when woman become empowered amazing things happen!

What rocks your bliss?

Spending my day with inspiring women and having compassionate, eye-opening conversations that inspire connection, authenticity and vulnerability. Supporting women through empowered motherhood and helping them to foster balance in the juggle of life, passion and parenting never looses its sparkle. Women are powerful, and helping one to see that again will never get old!

I crave movement and getting active with my friends, hubby and kids! I love how movement inspires laughter, community and presence with one another away from cell phones, schedules and commitments. Living my life aligned to my values; FAMILY, CONNECTION, MOVEMENT, DEVOTION and GRATITUDE totally rocks my bliss!

Describe your perfect day.

Moving SLOWLY throughout the day without a schedule.  I would start with a quiet coffee on my own, dive into a great book and then connect with a good friend for a sweat date, something that lights me up from the inside like a yoga flow class or something in sync to amazing music. I love how music awakens something inside us, and moves stagnate energy.

I then connect with my hubby downtown on a hot and sunny day to feel the energy of the city, have a nourishing whole food lunch together, shop local, and plan our next adventure!  I’m wearing flip flops and a sundress! I feel FREE. We finish the day with a BBQ in our backyard, and watch our three daughters and their friends run around, play and laugh while we sip wine with our friends. The day ends as I slip into bed with clean sheets {nothing beats clean sheets!} and drift off into a restorative and blissful sleep!

When do you feel most creative and alive?

I feel the most alive when being of service. I thrive on supporting others to connect to themselves through the power of movement and mindfulness.  It lights me up to help another get out of pain and show them that they can live an empowered, holistic and inspired life. I absolutely love seeing the “aha” moment in my client’s eyes when they realize that possibilities are endless, that through the physical body, the mind heals. I love helping clients understand that the body and mind are intricately connected.

Watching my children play, be silly, explore the world, laugh and foster connection makes me feel more alive then I could have ever imagined. Bedtime snuggles, laugh attacks and spontaneous kitchen dance parties can never be overdone!

Share a huge goal you are rocking.

I launched my business in 2015, it has been a whirlwind of a year as I follow my heart, align to my values, and find balance with motherhood, marriage, passion and being an entrepreneur. I have an inexhaustible yearning in my heart to hold space for people, so they can be seen for all that they are, regardless of their situation, their shame story, or their diagnosis. I am deeply passionate about being a voice for integrative health so we may heal each other from the inside out.

If you could get on a plane right now, where are you going?

I want to go to Hawaii! I’ve been to many places, including India, Thailand, Japan and Peru, but today Hawaii sounds perfect. I want to feel the sand in my toes, wake up to sunshine, lay on the beach, eat a mango for breakfast and drink coconut water all day. I want to lay in a hammock with my hubby and simply BE.

How do you handle setbacks?

Yoga, yoga and more yoga! Coming home to myself so I can really peel back the layers to the surface emotions that make me believe it’s a “setback.” I believe setbacks are often blessings in disguise and that when one door closes, another opens.

Yoga, quiet time, journaling, prayer and meditation are paramount for me to navigate the many ups and downs that is life. When I trust in the process, I can find my center and be reminded that the universe is operating just as it should. Often when I get out of my own way, beautiful things happen.

How do you come home to yourself?

Early mornings when the house is still quiet. I have a quiet coffee on my own, read and often journal to find clarity in my goals and time to self-reflect. “Check yourself, before you wreck yourself” is a quote from the amazing Jacki Carr. I need to do this often to ensure I am living and guiding from my heart.

What are 3 ways you rock the self LOVE?

My daily yoga practice. It may be with a favourite instructor or it may be a quiet self practice at home. It may be two hours or it may be a ten minute practice squeezed in between naps, but it happens!

Inspired and and meaningful conversation over soul food dinners while sipping some wine!

Sleep! I’m a gal that needs a solid 7 hours of sleep each night and absolutely love crawling into bed with a good book!
